Pivot Points

Calculated support and resistance levels derived from prior-session price data.

What it means

Pivot points turn prior-session prices into a structured set of projected reference levels such as the main pivot, support, and resistance bands.

Pivot formulas are not the same as raw prior-session highs and lows. They are derived levels, so traders should not confuse the two workflows.
