Gap

A price difference between one period's close and the next period's open or initial trade.

What it means

Gaps reflect a jump in price from one session or bar sequence to the next and often become meaningful context levels.

Not all gaps deserve equal attention. Size, location, and follow-through matter more than the gap alone.
